The Arabic script is used throughout North and Sub-Saharan Africa for many African languages. The use of this script for languages other than Arabic is referred to as ‘Ajamī. This typeface family was designed for use in a broad array of output devices and contains character and symbol variants to accommodate a broad range of orthographic preferences in Africa.
