Particulars:

This custom logotype was designed for Hugo’s Restaurant in Portland, ME. The letterforms take inspiration from Bodoni and Zapf Book, but were designed to be more robust and balanced. The striped type treatment was a primary consideration during the design process and various optical sizes were developed to accommodate a broad variety of collateral from signage to matchboxes.
